Sweden shares lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 1.11%

Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.11% to hit a new 1-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST: LUPE ), which rose 1.66% or 3.20 points to trade at 195.80 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST: ALIVsdb ) added 0.94% or 10.0 points to end at 1072.0 and Swedish Match AB (ST: SWMA ) was up 0.73% or 2.3 points to 318.9 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST: SHBa ), which lost 3.06% or 3.5 points to trade at 110.9 in late trade. Skanska AB ser. B (ST: SKAb ) declined 2.56% or 4.70 points to end at 178.90 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST: SECUb ) shed 2.24% or 3.30 points to 143.70.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 356 to 247 and 68 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.95% or 1.12 to $58.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.98% or 1.24 to hit $63.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.62 to trade at $1282.82 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was down 0.16% to 9.9543, while USD/SEK fell 0.23% to 8.3584.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.75.
