Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 0.92% or 2.30 points to trade at 252.50 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 0.56% or 1.1 points to end at 189.1 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.13% or 0.15 points to 114.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which lost 5.12% or 7.60 points to trade at 140.70 in late trade. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 3.34% or 6.5 points to end at 189.4 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) shed 3.08% or 4.8 points to 149.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 383 to 230 and 69 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.83% or 2.07 to $51.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.06% or 1.92 to hit $60.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1315.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.36% to 10.4924, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 9.2399.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.227.
