Truist Securities upgraded AT&T (NYSE:T) from Hold to Buy with a price target of $21.00. The analysts commented, "We are upgrading AT&T following more than 15 years of underperformance now that it has demonstrated an ability to focus on core business as opposed to acquisitions of loosely related companies at market high valuations." Shares rose another 2% today.
New Street Research upgraded Applied Materials (NASDAQ:AMAT) from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $115. The analysts said the trough in the sector is near and it is a good time to start building a position. Shares gained nearly 5%.
SVB Leerink upgraded Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) from Underperform to Market Perform with a price target of $101.00 (from $74.00) after rival Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) announced a meaningfully higher-than-expected pricing for its COVID-19 vaccine.
