Markets in 2025: Gold, goldilocks and the dollar bears
The digital revolution has created an app-for-everything kind of world. Apps have become an essential part of both our personal and professional lives. The role of collaboration apps became even more significant when the pandemic triggered a mainstream adoption of hybrid and remote working.
Although workplace apps intend to enhance productivity, many employees suffer from the confusion and fatigue brought by app overload. A recent study conducted by leading cloud-based communication provider RingCentral has gathered some mind-boggling statistics about the detrimental effects of workplace apps.
For instance, 69% of the surveyed employees spend up to 32 days a year navigating apps. 68% switch between workplace apps for a maximum of ten times per hour.
Worse still, more than half of the survey respondents pointed out that navigating multiple apps was more tiresome than trying to lose weight, paying bills or even dealing with household chores. Over 30% of those surveyed found toggling between apps disruptive to their train of thought.
It is evident that using too many apps and platforms defeats the purpose of adopting them, resulting in interruptions of workflows and a drop in productivity. Regarding solutions to app overload fatigue, over 60% of those surveyed by RingCentral agree that having a unified platform would allow them to stay organised and improve productivity.
Global multi-asset broker Exness understands the importance of platform singularity in achieving a seamless workflow. The firm has chosen Slack as its company-wide communication tool, which allows integrations of industry-leading software and custom apps.
Exness employees can add many of the company’s collaboration apps onto the Exness Slack platform, such as workplace management software OfficeSpace, HR software BambooHR, Google Calendar, project management tool Jira and learning and upskilling platform Degreed. By enabling employees to access multiple apps through a centralised platform, Exness minimises the time employees spend jumping between apps and streamline the workflow.
In a world where hybrid and remote working are norms, effective digital collaboration is the key to a company’s success. By resolving app overload, Exness has helped its fast-growing teams stay productive.
