The company was formerly known as Essar Shipping Ports & Logistics Ltd., Shipping, Logistics & Oilfields Services Businesses and changed its name to Essar Shipping Limited in May 2011. The company was incorporated in 2010 and is based in Mumbai, India. Essar Shipping Limited is a subsidiary of Essar Shipping Mauritius Holdings Limited.
