Shikun & Binui Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, operates as an infrastructure and real estate company in Israel, West and East Africa, Central and South America, the United States, and Central and Eastern Europe. The company is involved in initiation, development, financing, and implementation of public private partnership projects in the fields of transportation, desalination, water, energy, and social infrastructure; operates as a contractor; and execution of engineering and infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, public works, water and sewage plants, hydroelectric and thermal power stations, asphalt and cement mixture plants, offices and residential buildings. It also manages and operates social infrastructure, energy, and water projects, as well as various types of facilities. In addition, the company develops and builds residential projects; operates rental properties; and executes civil engineering and construction projects. It serves transportation, energy, and social infrastructure markets. The company was formerly known as Housing and Construction Holding Company Ltd. and changed its name to Shikun & Binui Ltd. in March 2009. The company was founded in 1920 and is headquartered in Airport City, Israel.
